Darryl White

Chief Executive Officer & Group Head, BMO Capital Markets

Darryl White was appointed CEO & Group Head of BMO Capital Markets in November 2014. In this role, he has responsibility for all of BMO Financial Group’s interactions with corporate, institutional and government clients. Previously, Mr. White was Head of Global Investment & Corporate Banking where he oversaw relationships with corporate and government clients encompassing equity and debt underwriting, corporate lending and project financing, and mergers and acquisitions advisory services as well as trade finance and international financial institutions. Mr. White joined BMO in Investment Banking, progressing through various roles in M&A and Diversified Industries and Media and Communications.


Anthony Scilipoti

President & CEO, Veritas Investment Research

Anthony is a founding partner of Veritas Investment Research. He is a fellow Chartered Accountant, a certified Public Accountant (Illinois) and a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Anthony is also the Chair of the CICA’s Users Advisory Committee, a former member of the Canadian Accounting Standards Board and the CICA’s Emerging Issues Committee. Anthony also serves as a member of the Ontario Securities Commission’s Continuous Disclosure Advisory Council. In 2006, Anthony was awarded the Award of Distinction by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario for his impact and leadership in the accounting profession.


Geoffrey Rubin

Managing Director, Head of Portfolio Construction & Research, CPPIB

Geoffrey heads the CPP Investment Board’s Portfolio Management group, helping manage the systematic risk and allocation of active risk across the active investment portfolio. Geoffrey’s prior experience includes being the co-founder of a bank consultancy, as well as senior positions with Capital One Financial and Fannie Mae. He was also an Adjunct Professor at American University, Kogod School of Business. Geoffrey holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia.


David P. Baskin

President, Baskin Wealth Management

Following his early career as a lawyer and banker, David founded Baskin Financial Services Inc. in 1992. The firm, now operating as Baskin Wealth Management, has grown from assets under management of $25 million in 2000 to over $700 million today, with 500 client families in seven provinces. David appears frequently on national television and radio as a commentator on the markets and is frequently quoted in the press. David is also an enthusiastic sailor and traveller. He and his wife Joan Garson have two adult children. All are actively involved in community and charitable activities.


Julie Cowan

Managing Director and Head of Sales, Global Equity Derivatives Scotiabank Global Banking and Markets

Julie is a seasoned capital markets professional with over 15 years of multi-asset derivative sales and structuring experience across the UK, Europe and Canada. She is a Managing Director in the Global Equity Derivatives group at Scotiabank GBM. Julie joined Scotiabank recently from Morgan Stanley, where she worked in equity derivative and structured note sales in both London (UK) and Toronto, over an 11 year period. Julie started her career with Scotiabank GBM Fixed Income, focusing on interest rate derivative sales to corporate clients.


Bashir Todai

Partner, Oliver Wyman

Bashir Todai is a Partner in the North American Finance and Risk practice of Oliver Wyman’s Financial Services group based in Toronto. He has a broad base of experience advising banking, insurance and asset management clients across North America on risk, finance and strategy issues. His core areas of focus include risk organization and governance, market and credit risk measurement/modeling, revenue and loss forecasting, treasury/balance sheet management, model risk management and capital management. His work in recent years has been focused primarily on working with U.S. and Canadian banks and insurers on a variety of strategic and regulatory issue.
